The Denver Spanish Network Goes to Cuba for Thanksgiving

The Denver Spanish Network Goes to Cuba for Thanksgiving

November 16-23, 2018

Educational Adventures is hosting The Denver Spanish Network for a people-to-people tour combined with an immersive Spanish experience.

Join Denver Spanish Network for a family oriented trip to Cuba! Becky Girmann will be leading this trip with her own family of four with the goal of a people-to-people cultural tour of Cuba. Our goal is to create an equitable cultural exchange between our American and Cuban families. The children will have opportunities to interact and play alongside Cuban children and view life through a different cultural lens. We will also cook a Thanksgiving meal for our Cuban friends and share our own culture and traditions surrounding the holiday. Each family will have the opportunity to prepare a dish for the meal and navigate the market to find the needed ingredients! Our Cuban tour guides speak excellent English; however, there will be frequent opportunities to practice your Spanish at any level. Becky will be available as our go-to Spanish instructor to provide detailed, individualized grammar and vocabulary instruction to adults and children alike based on our adventures. Plan on attending two fun pre-trip meetings to get to know each other, discuss the Thanksgiving meal, travel details, and the possibility of pitching in to bring along nannies to facilitate any late night/less child friendly outings.
